1/450 Bonhomme Richard (LifeLike)

Here is the old LifeLike kit of the Bonhomme Richard, John Paul Jones's ship from the Revolutionary War. This is from an extensive series of small scale ship kits put out years ago by LifeLike from what I believe were originally Pyro molds. A few of the kits have also been re-issued by Lindberg.

I've included a photo of the LifeLike box (with its great box art) with my photos of the model.

I like these old kits, because with a little effort, you can get a very nice model. Shrouds and ratlines are a must; I made mine with glue and thread on the dreaded Airfix/Heller "loom."
