1/384 Great Eastern (Revell)
This is an old Revell model kit of Great Eastern, an odd scale, passable tooling, and quite inexact in details and configuration but interesting none the less. Built straight out of the box I added some scratchbuilt details like railings, ratlines etc. This ship had many different configurations over her long life, I have not represented one in particular but instead tried to include the many details that fascinated me about this magnificent ship: the painted stern decoration, the five funnels, the oceanic telegraph cable laying gear etc. So this representation is far from being historically accurate, more of a folk art feeling than an exact replica of this mythical ship.
