This is my take on the very old UPC kit of Cutty Sark. I depicted her in a stiff wind with a following sea.. She is embedded in a block of construction grade styrofoam so I could show her copper sheathing in a building sea. I chose 1885 as this is in the middle of her working life and her first voyage with Thomas Woolgate as her captain.. She had been famous on the tea runs and had made a name for herself hauling wool from down under. Under woolgate she would become a legend. IMHO there is nothng more beautiful than a clipper with her studding sails set in a good wind.
