1/200 La Sirene (Heller)
La Sirene (Mermaid) - Heller's depiction of the 16th century French warship of the line. It particapted in the Battle of La Hougue under the French Blue Squadron under Admiral Gabaret June 3 1692. This was also the same battle which resulted in the destruction of the French fleet under Tourville as well as the loss of the flag ship Soleil Royal in Cherbourg. I had this unbuilt kit in storage for many years. The decals and the vacuformed plastic sails did not survive. I replaced the flags with cloth 16th Century Galley flags for the time being.
