1/130 HMS Surprise (Lindberg Kitbash)
This is the model Jolly Roger by Lindberg in 1/130 scale. I have done a lot of conversion and scratch building. This is my first model ship.This is a work in progress. I will submit more pictures later.Any questions please e-mail me any helpful hints e-mail me.
Update: 29/03/06-
I have completed the gun deck and main deck. I still have to fix the stern windows from 5 windows to 7 windows. I also have to change the galley windows from 2 per side to 3 .This will be a cut and splice job.
As I have stated I am an aircraft modeler. This is my first ship. The e-mails I have gotten from this web site have been very helpful. I wish to thank the "Count"for his insights. I have not figured out everything I want to do but I am plugging away.
I am not looking forward to rigging the ship, but I will figure it out. I am "playing around with paper sail idea.The vac sails do not look real enough to suit me.
I have gotten a lot of e-mails stating the Linberg Jolly Roger is a "rotten" kit, this being my 1st ship I think it is a nice kit; but I have scratch built a lot of detail that is not in the kit. If any one has questions or helpful ideas please e-mail me.
