Here's a bit of a curiosity. It's a Glencoe model of a Viking ship. I found this in Fountain Hobby Center in Charleston, WV as a bagged kit. There was only one, and I've never seen it anywhere else. Somewhere I got the impression it was 1/400 scale, which looks close.
It's a very simple kit to build. I like the final result, except the oars are way too heavy for the scale. Some miniature figures would also add some life to it. But where to find 1/400 scale Vikings?
Probably the best use for this (you'd have to waterline the model to do it right) would be in some kind of diorama, some kind of sea monster thing. And that's what I'm getting at in the final two photos. Yes, that is the "vs." character from "Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster."
