G'day all, when I was building my previous Arliegh Burkes, I had an idea of modifying one into a Coast Guard helicopter carrier for disaster response. A ship with the ability to hold its own in a fight when the Navy’s of fighting overseas and the coastline is left to be defended by the Coast Guard.
With an experimental compact nuclear reactor and gas turbines as backup and heavily armed, this prototype my be just what the Navy/Coast Guard need to continue to fight for freedom.
