This is my third 'Victory Ship.' I had previously built two others. While there is a wonderful plastic kit of Liberty Ship USS Jeremia Obrien, which I built to be USS Grant Wood, nobody I know of makes a Victory Ship kit. So, I made paper templates and carved balsa plugs, and made my own. My other unfulfilled quest is that someday someone will make a kit of one of the big new UNREP ships like USNS Lewis&Clark. Midst kits galore of WWII combat ships, there seems little interest in cargo and or newer USNS types.
