1/500 USS Sabine AO-25 (Revell/Kitbash)
This is my USS Sabine AO-25. Another kitbash of an old Revell tanker, I made a new cedar hull and shortened the deck. All plastic rails are removed and replaced with pe from Gold Medal. I also cut away some of the bridge and replaced with pe covering my mistakes with balsa floats from an old Yorktown kit. This shrunk the oiler to 1/500 or so. The crewmen, which my camera will not let you see are from Tom's. I replaced the catwalks fron the kit with strip plastic and added pe ladders where the molded ones were. The 5" stern gun and the quad 40mm's are from Lindburg. The 20mm's which came with this kit are not bad so I lowerd them a little and used them.
