1/540 USS Chiwawa AO-68 (Lindbergh)
Another tanker.....bashed off of inexpensive Lindbergh 'Kennebec Class' WWII oiler. This time I figured if I wrecked it, due to the low price of
the kit, no problem, so got the modeling saw out and 'water-lined' the thing. Used home-made parts for after well deck and winches. Worked off of photographs of the real oiler best I could. Local hobby shop owner was amused that someone would order two of these things, but they were both 'fun' builds. I put a 'water lined' old Aurora Fletcher class alongside for photos.
