1/350 SS Jeremiah O'Brien (Trumpeter)
I used the Trumpeter kit and it went together pretty well. I added the Tom's ModelWorks Liberty Ship PE set, used Modelkasten 0.3 mm wire for the boom rigging, and added some weathering with some black/brown washes and artist oils. I made the base with the Chris Flodberg oat method and added cotton for the wake. This was my first attempt at any serious weathering and although it ended up a bit overdone, I am very happy with the end result. I really enjoyed building her and learned some very good stuff too.
