1/100 SS United Victory (Scratchbuilt)
This is my scratch built model of the SS United Victory in 1/100th scale. The model is built out of cardboard, Styrofoam and wood. The model measures out to 54 inches at 1/100th scale and was built to be donated to the Oregon Maritime Museum in Portland, OR.. The real ship was built in Portland, OR. and was the first Victory ship built, being put into service in March 1944. The reason the model is in 1/100th scale is because the museum has a model of a Liberty ship in that scale and wanted a Victory ship model to be displayed along side for reference.
