1/700 SS Fort Erie (HP Models)
SS Fort Erie is a Canadian built Fort Class freighter of WW2 manned by the British Merchant Navy. The kit is the HP Berry Head, the basic hull and layout of the kit is the same as a Fort class but I replaced the decks with brass sheet, scratchbuilt masts and derricks, built deck cargo from plastic sheet and used a variety of resin parts from Battlefleet models and etch from Toms Modelworks Liberty ship set.
Weathering is a combination of drybrushing and pastels.
Erie was another participant in the Atlantic convoy diorama of last November at Telford IPMS Nationals.
