1/350 SS Edmund Fitzgerald (Vikings Models)
This is the Viking Models resin kit of the Big Fitz. I didn't even know this kit existed until I came across it on eBay. It’s an older kit which consists of a nicely cast hull, resin pieces for the decks and stack and some metal fittings for the life boats and tanks. There was no PE included, so I had to scrounge though my spare parts for that and I printed my own decals. The gantry crane also had to be scratch built, and a fair amount of work had to be done to detail her up. This is a ship I wanted to add to my collection for a long time, and it gives a nice color contrast to all those gray warships. I also added 29 figures to represent each of the lost crewmen.
