1/400 S.S. Houston (Revell Germany)
The S.S. Houston was a containership converted from the T-2 tanker Mission Carmel. I used the Revell Esso Glasgow kit as a start and scratch built about 40 % of the model. Just like with the real ship, the midship house was cut off and placed aft. The rails are PE from Tom's Modelworks. The containers are basswood with home made decals.
The Houston ran along the US east and Gulf coast and Carribean. It was scrapped in the early 80s.
