1/96 NS Savannah (Scratchbuilt)
NS Savannah 6ft 3 inch's . With a 10 inch beam. Fully scratch built . This one was done for one of our church members and the family. HER Husband passed away a few years ago and I ask if I would consider finishing it for her . It sat down in a warm basement for many years before it came to me . It kind of blended in with her white wall, looking small until it came to my shop - for some reason that ship grew ;-)
So anyway, I was more than happy to do it .
He had about 75 percent of it done.
Her nephew wanted to work on it so it went to him - this is the way the family wanted it . I did the RC power and plant along with the deck hardware and got it going . I did a power /wet test and it ran good with no leaks after sitting for over 10 years down in their basement and never saw the water - no leaks at all. I was happy to see that one and now it has a new home. When he has the time he will do the rest of the detail as well as the rest of the paint work. Later we will have it back in the pond . At that time I will send in NEW Pictures.
