Nippon Maru

1/350 Nippon Maru (Aoshima)

Something a little different this time, built in the 1930's, made of steel in the shipyard of Kobe originally as a schoolship for the Japinese navy, and rigged as a four mast barque, at the outbrake of WW2 she was to be decommission as a training ship and fitted as an oiler and cargo vessel, this little diorama has tried to show the Nippon Maru going through that stage of mast removal, therefore no booms and very little rigging.
