Subject: Airfix 1:600 Canberra - Email 1 of 3 Date: Thu, 2 Oct 2003 21:30:31 +0200 From: "Patrick Camilleri" To: Hi Tim, me again. Have completed the Airfix Canberra. Photos being sent in 3 emails as usual. Feel free to choose the ones you like best: In this kit of the Canberra I utilized my pet method of creating windows from strips of black transfer with the frames overpainted in white. By the time I gave up counting I had fixed well over 200 individual transfers with many left to go on. To represent the Windbreakers on the upper deck I used clear acetate sheet with white framing painted on using a spring bow. The motor boats and “bathtub” boats were adapted from QEII boats that were cut down to size. Many of the details were picked up by studying the pictures on the Canberra Web Site. The pictures of the Canberra being broken, (posted on the same web-site), up were most distressing!!
