1/700 Modern Submarines (DML and Skywave)

Here is more of my 1/700 submarine collection - modern subs and aircraft by DML and Skywave. Shown in these photos are DML's HMS Trafalgar class SSN, HMS Resolution class SSBN, and Russian Victor III class SSN. The two Lafayette class SSBNs are by Skywave. I numbered them as the USS Patrick Henry, SSBN 599, and the USS Robert E. Lee, SSBN 601.

The aircraft are a Skywave TU-95 Bear Bomber, and some British anti-submarine air power by DML, including a Nimrod MR2, two Westland Lynx HAS 2 helicopters, and two Sea King HAS 5 helicopters.

The DML kits are from the "Modern Sea Power" series. The Skywave kits, if I recall correctly, were in a nuclear alert package titled "Scramble." The Lafayette class subs are not really waterline, so they appear to be riding pretty high in the water. I submerged them as best I could in Mod Podge, but I didn't want them to be mostly hidden, either, so it's a little bit of a compromise. These kits also included no periscopes, so I have both them launching a missile to add a littler more interest. An operation that in reality would take place under water, I suppose, but again, a little compromise.
