1/72 DKM U-2321 Type XXIII (MPM)
I enjoyed this build because I had to do many things mymself. The inaccuracies of the kit made one notice the difference compared with Revell.
The colours are Tamiya, weathered with oil and rust pigments. Figures are from Hecker and Goros.
Launched in Hamburg on 10-3-1944. On 12.6.1944 Oblt. Hans Heinrich Barschkis took command, He was in command of the boat from 12.6.1944 to 8.5.1945.
It has record a sinking with 1,406 BRT. U-2321 left on 29.5.45 for Operation Deadlight on which 27.11.45 sank HMS Onslow and ORP Blyskawica under shell fire of the fighter.
