draft 4,04 m

I've been forced to suspend completion of my Wurttemberg diorama for a couple of weeks basically due to the lack of plexiglass case. Luckily, I've found new producer of custom cases (my own design) very quickly, but still have had some extra time… So the U 63 model (same as UB 4) could be considered as a side effect. However, any Imperial German Navy fan should have a vast collection of U-boats. Mine is rather very… limited, but growing. Im going to add new items pretty soon, as I have a choice so many classes, variations, successful boats etc.

UB I class small coastal submarine, laid down : 3.11.1914, commissioned 23.03.1915. 3 ships sunk for a total of 10 883 tons, including the very first victim of U-Flottille Flandern (10.04.1915). Note original camouflage of this boat (the main reason why I've chosen this particular ship). Unfortunately, UB 4 was sunk by British Q-ship Inverlyon with all hands (15.08.1915).
displacement 127 / 142 tons
overall length 28,10 m
beam 3,15 m
draft 3,03 m
armament : 2 torpedo tubes 450 mm, 1 machine gun
