1/400 Redoutable SSBN (Heller)
This is a 1/400 scale Redoutable Class submarine by Heller. It is painted with acrylic craft paints. I replaced the propeller because the one provided with the kit is actually two screws on one shaft, each with three large blades. Photos of the real sub show a single propeller similar to what I have on the model. Beyond that, I don't know how accurate the model really is. No missiles are provided (and the missile doors do not open) so I had to make one. I could not find any good color photos of French missiles except for one, so my missile my be wrong. The kit's quality is very poor, and very few parts fit together properly. Overall I am happy with the finished model.
