1/350 HNLMS Zeeleeuw S803 (Naval Models)
This is my version of the Dutch Walrus class submarine HNLMS Zeeleeuw. The Zeeleeuw recently had a life-extension program where one of the aspects was the installation of an optronic periscope. This, and all other masts except for the snort, were 3D printed.
I made this model for a colleague/friend of mine who, as me, got the change to join the submarine for a day. These 'sailing days' are used for submarines coming from maintenance. A selected group of civilian personnel working for the Dutch Submarine force is invited to join the crew for a test dive. After the dive one can drink coffee on deck (if the weather allows it), and the model depicts this moment with my friend standing on the aft of the deck.
