1/700 I-68 (Hasegawa)
This is my first painted submarine in 20 years. I built this kit straight from the box without any photo etched parts or upgrades. The only thing I changed is to replace the periscope and antennas with "00" insect pins.
There are only 16 parts required to assemble it. It took me about 30 minutes to finish assmebly and another 2 hours for painting, though most of the time was waiting for paints to dry, then I could weather. However, it looks significantly different when weathering is done.
It is quite a tiny kit, you can compare it with a zippo lighter. But it's cute, isn't it?
