1/200 Alfa SSN (Zetka)

Here's the largest Alfa class kit I've yet run across - it's an inexpensive 1/200 scale paper model from Zetka. This joins my Alfa collection, which already includes the DML versions in 1/700 and 1/350 and the 1/400 model from Maquette.

It's a simple kit to build and would be a good choice for someone wanting to get started in paper models. The kit does have an engineering flaw, in that rather than doing the hull sections as large pieces that would wrap around with a seam on the bottom (where it would be largely hidden), they're done as half pieces that meet in a horizontal seam right down the side of the hull.

I dressed the finished model up with some decals from my spares box.
