1/350 K-14 Project 627A November class SSN (Zvezda)

I've already built Zvezda's kit of the November class sub once (as K-3, first submarine to surface at the North Pole), but when I saw the kit on the shelves of my LHS...well, for one, I remembered it had some extra parts to build the project 627A variant (the K-3 is a 627) and also I thought, if I don't buy this, who else will!

So here we have K-14, a 627A variant of the November class. There are some small differences in the sail, and the 627As also have a prominent bow sonar dome.

I used this project as an opportunity to try and do better seam work then I had done on the first November I built, always a key to a successful sub model. Still not perfect, but better...I'm now working on Zvezda's Hotel class K-19.
