1/350 Typhoon SSBN (Dragon)
This is a 1/350 scale Typhoon class submarine by Dragon/DML. It is painted with acrylic craft paints. I don't care for the base and nameplate provided with the kit, so I created my own. I also added an additional mast (the tallest one) and Soviet naval ensign and jack. I painted the hull dark gray over light gray because it looks good. The real sub appears to be dark gray or black on top and a reddish color on the bottom - but some pictures of submarines show a gray color on the bottom. I don't know which is correct. The missiles are dark green and black. Very little information available on them. I found most Russian ICBMs to be dark colored. The inside of the missile doors should be green, but I painted them white and gray. I didn't bother with complete accuracy because the kit itself is not accurate, particularly in the stern area.
