1/144 USS Gato SS-212 (Trumpeter)
This is Trumpy 1/144 USS Gato. I wanted to weather the sub as she would have looked after a long grueling but successful war patrol, hence the clean sweep broom on her scope/mast fairing. I changed a bit the kit tower sides by adding styrene angles rear of the cabin to make the tower look a bit closer to the Gato. Sub Guards, upper weld line ,extra limberholes, exhaust ports, redone anchor wells ,anchor replacements and other small details scratch built. The 4"'/50 cal deck gun is Iron Bottom Sound gun kit.
