SS-383 USS Pampanito

1/72 scale USS PAMPANITO SS-383

This is a scratch built sub including the hull. with the exception of the crew members that are HO scale 1/87th. They were figures that were changed to look like a sub crew. This sub is RC power, it is set up with a small pair of pintment motors that were used for small air pumps. I removed the pumps and used the motors in the sub. It has a standard 2 channel radio with a water cooled Novack 610 speed control. It is also set up as a surface sub not a diving sub. This way I can have it set up with crew members and all of the detail that I want to do on her with out any problems. I have about a year of work into it.  It runs as good as it looks, at first I had my problems but now none as of the last time I had it out in the pond.
