1/178 USS Tiru & USS Tirante SS-416/SS-420 (Revell/Iron Bottom Sound)
Two 1/178 Guppy conversions USS Tiru Guppy III and USS Tirante Guppy II. Models built from Revell Lionfish kits and the IBS conversion sets. To bring out the Guppy lines both submarines have PM bow converters installed. The Guppy III also has the extender, (Extenders & Converters) Please don't call them plugs LOL. I wanted to paint the USS Tiru in the measure it received in its 1969 San Francisco refit, http://usstiru.org/photos/69overhaul/ Also noted is that the USS Tiru even as a Guppy III retained her 4 blade screws. The USS Tirante is a PM Guppy II, and her skipper may be angry with me because I made her out so heavily sea weathered; don't worry skipper, I'll make a cleaner version soon.
