1/300 USS Nautilus SSN-571 (Lindberg)
This kit took me about 3 hours to make, amazing what you can do with spray paints and a fan to speed up the drying, the deck with the snark and the deck gun were so innacurate I just threw the whole assembily out the window and built it sans deck, I used the internet for references on painting and set the bow planes to up as she might have appeared on the surface. The stand is made from a hang-on-the-wall candlestick with the candle holding bit ripped off and as usual I used matchsticks for the blocks. Still I was rather pleased with myself when I finished the job. I used decals from a leftover helicopter sheet to make a proper job of the ship number stencils.
