This is another exercise on my part in learning various sea scape techniques using the venerable Revell 1/230 Skipjack, which had been on my shelf for many years. In this case, I used the "compressed bead" style of packing foam as a base, which allowed for a much more dramatic sea state, even if it was pretty messy to work with. Among the lessons learned is, never throw out those old kits...they'll always come in handy as training exercises even after their life as a display model are over.
