1/700 USS Boston SSN-703 (Arii)
These are the only three pics I have of a model I did for a friend in Boston about 4 years ago, and my first 100-percent airbrush model, the exception being the ocean 'blue', which is NAPA GM Engine Block blue for 1960/70s engines, from the spray can. (the white caps were hand brush)
I was setting the pieces on that plastic as I did it, was almost done with the full-body unit, trying to figure out how I was going to mount it, before I realized the plastic that I thought was box filler was meant for the two possible subs, so I did the submerged one as well. Captured the two crew patches from the web and printed on a color printer for the background.
Case is a 1/25 car model case. Model, if I remember correctly, was 6.75 inches long. No more than 7 inches.
