1/350 USS Minnesota SSN-783 (Yankee Modelworks)
This is the YKM USS Virginia resin kit numbered as the USS Minnesota which is scheduled to be commissioned in 2014. It’s a pretty straight forward build, just need to remove the long plug under the hull then putty and sand it smooth. The torpedo hatches are very pronounced on the hull, they should be flush so I sanded them down so you could still see them but were much less protruding out. Other than that, it’s pretty much out of the box. The kit comes with decals, but I added the flag and a couple crew members.
