The idea behind my collection of ships is to get the look of the actual ships, to know what they looked like (something like 3D drawings). The collection numbers about 230 pieces (in different phases of construction [actually 10 still in the box] ), all w/l 1/700-720 scale for ships in 1860-1945 era (counting and the torpedo boats..). It is made for fun only and the quality varies a lot, depending on the mood, the kit, the sources etc. The collection will expand as time and money permits. Underway there is a project to paint the base homogeneous, and having labels on each (for presentation purposes).
