USS Bunker Hill CV-17 by Christoph Mentzel

Here is another carrier which I have build in the last months. I have got the new Essex kit from Dragon and have decided to build her as the USS Bunker Hill as she looked like in jan/feb 1944 with Ms 32/6a. The colors comes from White Ensign Models. I have replaced the on molded catwalks around the flight deck with PE from Tom Modelworks. The light aa weapons I have replaced with PE for the 20 mm aa from WEM and the 40 mm aa with resin parts from WEM. Most of the radar's are GMM parts. The kit has have some fitting problems. For example my hangar deck was out of shape. But overall it is a nice kit for a good price.
